Frequently Asked Questions

How many trials are in the Processing Speed Test?

60 trials. Each shows one of six symbols, and you click the digit (1-6) it is paired with according to a key that stays visible throughout the test.

What is the difference between the accuracy and speed scores?

Accuracy counts every correct match regardless of response time. The speed score only counts matches that were both correct and answered within a target response window.

Is this the same task used in clinical cognitive assessments?

No. It uses a similar digit-symbol-matching format, but the symbol set and scoring are original to this site and have not been clinically validated.
